With such a short ingredient list, there are just two basic secrets: great raw material and a big passion.
1994 – Start of the company as a small pastry and ice-cream atelier based in Cecina, Italy, with the old brand name “Ribecai” from the local branch of our family
1998 – Creation of our first best-selling desserts, Spicchio ai Pinoli and Home-made Cheese Cake
2000 – We developed the unique recipes of our “Gourmet” sorbets, served in the best restaurants of the Tuscan coast
2004 -The dessert line is completed with typical Tuscan cakes as Torta Cantuccina, Tiramisù, Cassatina
2008 – Sammontana Italia discovers our “Spicchio ai pinoli” delicious dessert – starting cooperation
2010 – We became co-packer of Sammontana Italy producing the dessert “Fetta ai Pinoli”
2012 – Started working for food distributors and supermarkets in northern and central Italy.
2013 – The BERNINI Family enters in the company
2016 – The BERNINI Family decides to directly manage the company, introducing the brand “RIBE” as a branch of the Bernini Group.
2017 – Started operating in the Organic world, proposing its brand new Organic Sorbets Line. Our Gluten Free line is available in the Conad chain stores.
2018 – Bernini Gelati becomes an international brand for gelato “Made in Italy”

We are located on the Etruscan Coast, a few km from the seaside, near to the ancient village of Bibbona, close to the famous areas of Bolgheri and Castagneto Carducci.
Our area is well known for its historical features and its beautiful landscapes as well as for the production of food and red wines, considered as the finest of the world. We are proud to produce our Italian gelato in a constant effort to comply with such high standards.
